Review for mile 22
Poor
direction and too much action without context spoils the movie
Review
This is a story of a ghost of CIA known as the
overwatch. They are set in a mission to transport a foreign cop known as LI
Noor played by Iko Uwais. This foreign cop contains a hard disk which contains
all the information of a potential terrorist attack by the Russians. The code
could only be cracked on only condition ( li Noor has to be extracted from his own country and moved to USA). The name mile 22 represents the mile that has to be covered by the people of
Overwatch to transport the foreign cop from American embassy to the
international airport.
Highlights
Well, it has to be Iko Uwais who is just spectacular.
The only guy that makes gives the film a golden touch. From action sequence to
dialogue delivery this guy nails it all. Though Mark Wahlberg is good at his
job but lacks potential. The screenplay is too monotonous and this 90-minute
action thriller is simply a waste of good caste.
Should
you watch it?
No, absolutely not. This movie is the combination of
loss of both time and money. There is too much action without any good
storyline. While Mark Wahlberg struggles to make the film shine but fails
miserably. I expected so much more from the movie when the trailer first
released but it a sure shot disappointment to humankind. Would rate this movie
a 1.5 star out of 5
