Review.

The story begins in Berlin 2052. A mute Amish barman tries to solve the murder of his girlfriend. While the girlfriend's ex-husband named cactus tries to fly back to the United States by securing fake I.D.s. It is right to claim that Duncan Jones Mute arrives on Netflix with a considerable amount of hope and expectation. It is a film that has been on the word for half a decade.  Though the movie ran for a thin of two and half hours the story fails to deliver what it was made for in the first place.

It is interesting to know that Leo's girlfriend had a secret when they were in a relationship. However, this is the only thing which makes the film watchable in some parts. Leo is stuck between anguish and agony to avenge his dead girlfriend and the film again loses its charm. To be precise the result is a fine disappointment.

There is some peace in the visuals. The hippies running in the German street, food delivery through drone and Euro-metropolis look is commendable.  These visuals are pleasing but not exceptional since the people have already had a glimpse of it in Ghost In The Shell. Perhaps we expected so much of mute given its prehistory but there is no doubt despite all the visuals and the star cast the result is a big disaster.
