know why Jimmy Shergil took a break from Bollywood




After getting so much fame from Mohabettein jimmy shergil bagged offers from Bollywood as a lover boy but did not select one since he always wanted to play a bad ass. This is the reason he started doing movies like Munnabhai MBBS, A Wednesday and Tanu Weds Manu. This charmer played it all a loverboy, a terrorist rake, and invalid.

Jimmy says he always wanted to pursue acting but his father wanted him to do MBA, but says its destiny that he joined films. He says at one time he got so busy that he was working day and night and was a guest at his own wedding in 2001. He says he took a break from Bollywood films and started doing Punjabi films once he knew that there is more market for him to grow as the competition is less there.

He gave some of the biggest blockbusters in Punjabi cinema, his biggest blockbuster was Mel Karade Rabba. He now says that he would do a Punjabi film every year and would take 3 months off after that to travel the world. On the work front he has been choosy doing Bollywood films and says he will return to Bollywood once he gets a challenging role.
